    Paper's website: http://www.newsbug.info/monticello_herald_journal/

The Herald Journal newspaper is looking for both a full-time sports editor who is ready to jump on board ASAP.

For the sports editor position, he or she must be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and be able to write creatively on deadline. He or she needs to be able to work closely within the Monticello community and cover high school sports across White County.

To apply, send resumes and 3-5 clips (Indesign layouts, too, if possible) to wriggs@thehj.com and CC skoon@thehj.com

For over 150 years, the Herald Journal has served White County as the leading source for local news. Published daily except Sunday and major holidays, it is a member of the Community Media Group family of publications.

I went to Monticello once...on the 4th of July.
They have beaches there because of the Tippecanoe River. Every inch of the shoreline is owned and you have to pay to get near it.
Also, Delphi, to the south, is the most racist town I have ever been in.
I believe there are 4 high schools in that county.
To tell the truth, I didn't know they had a local paper anymore.

How long ago did you apply? I typically wait 2 weeks before I even start wondering about status.
