    The Bubbler pipeline has learned that Brad Zimanek, formerly of the Appleton Post-Crescent, will become the Advertiser's new sports editor. He'll take over in late January.

    The Bubbler pipeline is 100 percent correct, or zero percent, since this is its debut. Seriously, I have this on good info.

    I aquainted myself with Brad from my Wisconsin days. I know he's a divisive figure on here. I only worked with him as a colleague and never had any issues.

    Thought so. I wasn't for sure. Say what you want to about Gannett but if you do your time, learn your craft, you can move around. Congrats to Brad.

    Actually, I think he was laid off in Appleton.
