    Description:
    Key position as part of an award-winning daily newspaper in a small market in the Midwest. The sports editor would be in charge of developing coverage for six prep schools and two small colleges with national reputations. This is a supervisory position and provides a chance for a sports journalist to step up and work with creative pros developing solid daily local print coverage and visual story-telling techniques in both digital and print formats. The winning candidate should be prepared to learn and test themselves, working as part of a fast-paced newsroom team, publishing one of the best small newspapers in Indiana.

    Minimum Requirements: Experience as a working sports journalist outside of college with experience in newspaper design. The winning candidate will be someone comfortable in working in both print and digital platforms.

    I wonder if they promoted to create this opening or if they were in the Pine Bluff situation — they had to hire a whole new staff.
     
  11. Googling showed one of the two full-time writers is now working in Kalamazoo, MI.

    For once, I can say I probably have some details/information on the area/paper. PM me if curious.
