    Great area, good newsroom culture and reasonably good job security in the 3-to 5-year time frame, but plan on driving for Uber for about 20 hours a week or living with your parents if you're actually serious about applying. $44k doesn't go far in one of the nation's priciest housing markets.

    Received some info when I applied on this. Literally, couldn't find anywhere to live that wasn't in an awful neighborhood across the bay.

    Digital First shop, so your day-to-day pro coverage is via. BANG. Not sure how strong the prep scene is, but Marin Catholic has been strong in the past. D2 school is the mighty Penguin of Dominican. No football.

    And just 15 minutes away from ... San Francisco.
