    I wonder if this had anything to do with the post last month on their Web site leading with "rumors about" LSU backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux and asking anyone with information about him to contact the LSU beat writer. It didn't stay up long, but it was one of the worst things I've ever seen a newspaper do.

    The beat writer saw it and almost had a heart attack.
