As the ad mentioned, Katy is the best in Texas. Lots upon lots of D-I athletes.

  3. Too bad the salary isn't the best in Texas.

    Well, it's a weekly.

Honestly surprised Katy is only a weekly. Been there a few times and a lot of friends graduated from Cinco Ranch. Nice city, a few times a week seems like it would work well there.

anyone know what happened to Thomas Lott? He seemed like a good guy the few times I spoke to him. On a side note, the Katy Times does have Texans credentials, although they don't really cover them other than columns, etc.

Don't know what happened to him. In January, 2012, he posted his bio on the website talking about how much he loved Katy (the town) and the sports there. Perhaps he now loves it from a distance.
The website's "contact us" page was updated last week and there is no sports ed listed. I take it this is a one-man sports department?

The place has been a revolving door for some time. And that's sad because its a good sports area.

in fact just a year or two ago one of the SE's posed as an alumni Katy football player on Facebook requesting racy photos from underage females. So they've had some issues to say the least.
