    JournalismJobs.com - Job Listing - Sports Editor

    Description:

Do you keep your socks matched when they come out of the laundry? Is your to-do list alphabetized? Would you rather attend a high school athletic event than enjoy all-you-can-eat chicken wings at your favorite restaurant? Able to spot a misspulling from 100 yards away? Write a sports lede that would make a grown man cry? If so, you're probably way too good for us but we want to talk with you anyway about our sports editor opening. The News and Tribune is looking for someone with strong organizational, writing, editing, design and photography skills and an aggressive approach to covering sports. Experience with multimedia required. Our sports editor covers sports regularly, oversees one reporter, multiple stringers and coordinates assignments and packaging for our daily and specialty products. The News and Tribune is a Monday-Saturday newspaper in Southern Indiana. We are just across the river from Louisville, KY. Opportunities abound in this area and in this position. If you are a sports rock star looking for a new place to call home, come help make our award-winning newspaper even better. Send resume, cover letter, clips and anything else you think might help your cause to: Susan Duncan at susan.duncan@newsandtribune.com
