This J-Jobs ad looks like two Gatehouse job postings pasted together.

It starts like this: "Write the next chapter of your career with us! This is your opportunity to join a dynamic team of talented and dedicated journalists at Gatehouse Media’s Devils Lake Journal based in Devils Lake ND."

After two paragraphs about job duties and what you'll cover, you get this:

"We’re looking for journalists with one to two years of professional experience, or a recent college grad with a solid body of work. Or, in lieu of a degree, we’ll also consider those with five or more years’ of experience at a daily newspaper. In exchange, we offer a competitive base salary with strong benefits and the ability to grow your career along with our company. The location, is in the extreme Northern California region where outdoor activities abound as well as being regionally close to a variety of metropolitan areas."

North Dakota? Northern California? In the Gatehouse world, what's the difference?

A variety of metropolitan areas is not how I would describe North Dakota.

As long as they're both within 15 minutes of Tahoe, we got no bitch.
