    Description:

The Rio Grande SUN, a weekly newspaper in Española, N.M., needs a sports writer. We’re looking to expand our sports coverage out of high school and make it more reader-friendly. Ideal candidate would write five to eight stories each week, covering city intramural, county recreation events, little league, bowling, high school events and outdoors. You would take your own pictures and paginate your own pages. It’s a fairly autonomous post. This is an opportunity to make the section your own. In addition, when high school sports is slow or school is out of session, you will fill in as a general assignment reporter. Benefits package, supportive management that knows little of sports. Please send resume to rgsunedit@cybermesa.com.
