    Description:
The Daily Ardmoreite, a six-day daily, is southern Oklahoma's premier newspaper with a Sunday circulation of 12,000 and a daily circulation of 9,000. We're looking for a top-flight sports editor who is committed to covering local sports and athletes while giving our readers balanced coverage of college and professional sports. Ardmore is about 100 miles from both Dallas and OKC, but with the way people drive in Oklahoma I suppose an hour might be about right. ;)

That might be one of the worst names for a newspaper ever.
The paper's not in a bad spot. There isn't a ton there, but yes, you will be close to OKC and DFW. Granted, there's construction on both sides of Ardmore on I-35, so I'm guessing it might take a bit more than an hour.

Dang, the Ardmoreite was around 20K circulation about 10 years ago if I recall correctly.

More like 12-13K ... many changes at this paper within the last 12-18 months.

New publisher, ME ... I worked there as SE in 1997, so it's been a while, but if anyone wants to pick my brain about southern Oklahoma, feel free to message me.

Major plus (for some of us), also: Big casino on the Red River just a few miles south on I-35.
