The News Graphic, a twice-weekly publication of Conley Media based out of Cedarburg, is seeking a full-time sports editor. The position requires laying out sports pages in QuarkXPress, writing sports stories and assigning stories to freelance writers. An ideal candidate will be energetic, and have a passion for good sports journalism and accuracy. An eye for good feature story ideas is a must. Newspaper experience in covering a variety of sports is much preferred. The position will require day and some night work. Familiarity with AP style is needed. The sports editor must organize coverage of sports at four local high schools: Cedarburg, Grafton, Homestead (in Mequon) and University School of Milwaukee, as well as other local youth and adult sports.
