    Description
    The Town Talk in Alexandria, La., is looking for a sports editor to lead a three-person team to increase digital and print readership with coverage of local sports teams and programs. A bias for digital publishing is essential, as is the ability to generate original enterprise. Experience as a reporter and editor with a history of success is required.
    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
    A bachelor’s degree or higher in journalism or a related discipline is preferred, although the appropriate level of relevant professional experience is acceptable. The position requires solid communication skills, both oral and written; effective interpersonal and organizational skills; and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
    Also required: the use of personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, state-mandated auto insurance and a good driving record.
