    Sports Designer/Paginator, full-time

    The Herald-Times in Bloomington, Indiana

    Bloomington is located approximately one hour south of Indianapolis.



    Experience: • Minimum 2 years experience design/editing for a professional newspaper preferred. Significant design experience with campus newspaper considered. .


    Looking for a creative page designer with a keen eye for editing copy and a flair for headline writing to help continue the tradition of and build on an award winning sports section. Read and check stories for accuracy, fairness, spelling, and grammar. Assist in the layout, design and editing of the sports section and special sections/projects as needed. Successful applicant will understand how to connect with readers both in print and online.

    Education: • Bachelor’s Degree; Journalism, English, or Communications preferred

    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Thursday-Monday night.

    Include three page design samples with cover letter and resume.
