The Messenger-Inquirer in Owensboro, Ky., has immediate openings for newspaper sports page designers/paginators. They will be responsible for using InDesign on iMacs to produce sports pages for multiple dailies and weeklies produced in our expanding regional production hub for the Paxton Media Group. Candidates must have superior computer skills and the ability to produce eye-catching designs in a fast-paced, deadline environment, with an emphasis always placed on accuracy. They will receive content and direction from sports copy editors and will be responsible for producing the finished sports pages. Experience with InDesign is preferred, but will consider applicants with otherwise strong computer skills. Experience in newspaper design is a plus, but skilled graphic designers will be considered as well. Send cover letter and resume to Sports Editor Scott Hagerman, c/o The Messenger-Inquirer, P.O. Box 1480, Owensboro KY 42303, or email your material to shagerman@messenger-inquirer.com.
