We have an opening for lead designer for our Sports section. There's occasional work on the section front, but the job mainly consists of coordinating and designing the entire report. This is a full-time position that requires extensive design skills and the ability to juggle many pages that change throughout the evening under tight deadlines. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience in design or art direction at a daily newspaper. Knowledge of CCI, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus. Work hours will include evenings and weekends. Contact Alan Robertazzi, Director of News Design, alrobe@nytimes.com.
