There are two openings at the Tribune-Review.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is looking for a talented sports copy editor who can improve stories, write strong headlines and design appealing pages. We cover it all, from three professional sports teams to three Division I colleges and dozens of high schools. We publish a sports tabloid section Monday through Saturday, with a broadsheet section on Sunday. The desk is responsible for five editions nightly. Candidate should be proficient in QuarkXpress and must work nights and weekends. Three years experience at 50,000-plus circulation paper is mandatory. The Trib, circulation 197,000 and growing, is based in one of the few American cities with competing, independently owned newspapers. The Trib is on the city's North Shore, between the Pirates' PNC Park and the Steelers' Heinz Field. Pittsburgh is a terrific news area and an affordable place to live. It was named the country's most livable city by The Economist magazine in 2009. Send work samples and resume to: Kevin Smith, Executive Sports Editor, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, 503 Martindale St., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15212. E-Mail: ksmith@tribweb.com.
