We hope to move quickly on these openings, so if you are interested, I wouldn't wait until the posted deadline. The posting has only been up a couple of hours and I already have a number of resumes and clips.

    Copy/paste fail.

Will the copy editor be responsible for editing job listings?

I've heard that the pay is OK, although that part of Florida is not cheap. And split days off are not uncommon.

While I appreciate the quick response to our ad, I would encourage candidates to take the time to proof their letters and resumes before submitting them. So far, 40 percent of the applicants for the copy editing position have a mistake in their cover letter.

Can't say I'm surprised. Shows again how tough it is to proof your own copy.

Hope not because you likely inserted a fact error into his copy.
Unless you called to verify the letters he cited contained more than one mistake.
    You did call, right?

Did anyone notice the lack of a modifying hyphen, where one was called for, in Rich Griffis' last post? ;)
