Sports copy editor/designer -- Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

Discussion in 'Journalism Jobs' started by boundforboston, Jul 23, 2013.

  1. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is seeking a creative, detail-oriented page designer / copy editor for an opening on our sports production desk. Our sports desk staff, which works in the North Shore area between PNC Park and Heinz Field, supports digital and print products for six daily newspapers in SW Pennsylvania. We use InDesign and InCopy within a cloud-based DTI content management system. Pittsburgh is an affordable place to live and a terrific sports town with five professional teams, five Division I universities and more than 100 high schools. The Trib, circulation 200,000 and growing, is based in one of the few American cities with competing, independently owned newspapers. At least three years of daily news experience is mandatory. Send cover letter, resume and references to Deputy Managing Editor/Sports Richard “Duke” Maas at RMaas@tribweb.com.

This posting's to Duke Maas. When the Trib was looking for an assistant metro editor, you applied to Sandy Tolliver. Gruetze retire? Or is he getting phased out?
