    The Daytona Beach News-Journal is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, multitasking copy editor and designer for its Sports desk.

    The successful candidate will be a team player who can:

    Effectively edit copy
    Keep our website fresh throughout the night
    Expand the reach of our content through the use of social media
    Design clean and effective pages
    Make deadline
    The candidate should be familiar with InDesign.

    This position requires night and weekend work.

    The Daytona Beach News-Journal is owned by Halifax Media Group, which consists of 36 newspapers and affiliated websites in five states. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.

    Local content is our bread and butter. We cover 18 high schools, four local colleges (Bethune-Cookman University, Stetson University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Daytona State College), auto racing and, of course, NASCAR's biggest race, the Daytona 500.
