Does anyone know anything about this job? Have they hired anyone yet? What is the paper like? Anything?

Battle Creek is the home of general mills. All the cereal you can eat probably.

    Haha.

I think it is a Gannett Newspaper. One of the few on the west side. I think all the western michigan papers like GR PRESS are owned by booth.

Kalamazoo, Jackson, Grand Rapids, Muskegon: Booth
    Battle Creek: Gannett
    St. Joseph: Paxton
    Hillsdale, Holland: Morris
    Sturgis, Coldwater: Gatehouse

That's all the western Michigan papers I can think of.

Niles/Dowagiac (very small dailies): Leader Publications
Three Rivers (even smaller daily): unsure, maybe family owned

Thought Ogden owned one of those papers up there.

Ogden owns four papers in the Upper Peninsula (Hougton, Iron Mountain, Marquette and Escanaba). They also own Alpena in the northern Lower Peninsula. But all are a good ways from the southwest corner of the Lower.

I thought they owned St. Joseph. Stand corrected.

Battle Creek is home of Kellogg's. Hopefully the successful applicant will like Frosted Flakes and Rice Krispies.

Nope, never had. St. Joseph was owned by Hollinger before Paxton bought them.

Has anyone heard any news on this one, it was posted a while ago. Any interviews? Did they make a hire?
