The (Maryville, TN) Daily Times/TheDailyTimes.com, an award-winning multimedia outlet near Knoxville, has an opening on its Newsroom online and print content management team. The Daily Times is a seven-day a.m. publication that is expanding as other publications are moved into our design hub.
The preferred candidate will have keen news judgment; excellent grammatical and writing skills; excellent knowledge of software and processes related to preparing content for print and online production. In our Total Blox CMS environment, these include Adobe InDesign, InCopy and Photoshop; and basic knowledge of Web-related technologies.
A working knowledge of sports content and presentation directed at providing what is easiest for the reader is beneficial, but design principles and copy editing skills are essential.
The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in communications or an equivalent degree. He or she will be deadline conscious, objective and able to accept constructive criticism. Send non-returnable PDFs of a cover letter, resume and samples of your print page design and/or online work to mailto:editor@thedailytimes.com. The Daily Times is an equal-opportunity employer.

The description can also be found at TnPress Association.
