    Job Title: Sports Anchor/Reporter - Temporary/Vacation Relief

    Job Summary: The Sports Anchor/Reporter utilizes the information to create and prepare an informative on-air presentation. This position participates in the extended reporting requirements of sporting events and news coverage. The Sports Anchor/Reporter – V/R enterprises, researches, writes, edits, and reports sports news stories.
    Job Requirements: Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results:

    65% Prepares and presents on-air presentation, including graphics. Participates in broadcasting and telecasting of live or recorded commercials or sustaining newscasts, marketcasts, news interviews, public service and special event programs of a news nature. Posts updates and webcasts on the internet through station equipment.

    15% Analyzes and assimilates various information

    15% Reports, researches, writes/rewrites and edits news and news-oriented material, most specifically sports-related news stories.

    5% Promotes the station brand and enhances station image through news-oriented promotions, public service announcements, special events and personal appearances.

    Education:
    Four year degree in Journalism, Communications, or other related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.

    Experience:
    Two years experience as a Sports Anchor/Reporter or report for commercial or public television.
    Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills
    Excellent presentation skills and on-air presence
    Good computer skills
    Valid CT Driver's license

    Employment Status: Temporary
