Good, and smart, move putting kids TV icons on fruit and vegetable packaging. It's worked with cold cereal and 'fruit' snacks, why not with food kids actually should be eating.

I believe I have SpongeBob-branded baby carrots in the produce drawer of my fridge. I question whether that will get kids to eat carrots.

Nah ... I eat carrots because I like carrots.

I hate the insipid SpongeBob with a passion that calls for shooting the TV Elvis-style.

Hmmm, and yet, you choose to buy the kind with the cartoon character on it... interesting

Actually, I buy the only kind the store has.

As I recall, there were kids at my high school who bought acid tabs with pictures of Mickey Mouse on them, so there might be something to this cartoon-character branding.

My 13 month old daughter is obsessed by Dora. Right now, she says five words -- Daddy, Mama, ball, Dora and Boots (Dora's sidekick). So, I'm guessing that the next time that we go to the grocery store, she'll want to eat whateve Dora is pictured on.
