    Anybody watching this?

Nice to see Matt and Trey starting off the season with a bang.

    First 20 minutes; Very funny

Last 10 minutes; Tried too hard. The cash injection was a flop.

Thought it had quite a few funny moments. At this point, we're long past assuming South Park will push the envelope of taste as far as it will go. Sometimes it hits, sometimes it misses. This was mostly a hit.

As for the cash . . . I took that in two ways. One, obviously that Magic has made it this long because he has a unique combination of money, time to work out, and a name that gets him access to a lot of things. Two, that funding for HIV research should be increased.

Sort of pedestrian with the "moral" tonight, but the episode did not suck.

I hope my Tivo grabbed it.

What issues do you think they will go after this season?

    NY gov?

    Obama and Clinton?

    Writer's strike?

It takes them what, three weeks to make an episode? They can stay pretty fresh with what they do.

They've turned in a week, when they feel they have to.

Didn't they turn Steve Irwin and Scientology in a week as well?

The moral of the episode: Giving somebody HIV is basically as bad as being a tattletale. And getting HIV is so bad that even Cartman will turn down ice cream at that point.

Seriously, I guess they are trying to point out that focus on AIDS has faded.

I just don't know how the show will go on without ClydeFrog.

I was disappointed. Usually they go all out for the season opener.

Only thing I thought was really funny was Jimmy Buffett.

Agreed; I turned it off halfway through.
