But it's up to the districts to decide if they want a gun on premises.

Oklahoma won't be far behind. Lots of teachers have already taken classes in anticipation of packing heat.

Never mind that the day of the last shooting more than 130,000 schools DIDN'T have a school shooting. One did, so now every school needs teachers packing.

    God protect the children...

The state is what, 1 in 4 adults suffer from some form of mental illness? Chances are, one of those mentally ill people are a teacher somewhere...there is really no way this is going to end well, in all honesty.

It would be better if they could pack a hotdish instead.

Only one school shooting in South Dakota's history. That happened in 1961 by accident.

I can think of a whole lot of teachers I had who would scare the shit out of me if they were armed.

A few years after I graduated, one of the teachers at my high school murdered another teacher with a handgun.

Can states/districts require teachers to carry a firearm?

There are teachers who can't control themselves sexually with the kids. We're now going to ask them to control their violent urges?
