For a kid growing up with a single mother, then with mom and a stepfather, "Family" was a pretty inspirational show in helping a young boy cope with the social stigma. And then there was the bonus of Ms. Baxter.

 

Honestly, that the son was the only one stay on the same team is quite a surprise.
