Here's a prediction: Unser was behind the wheel of truck that hit John Teller. We just saw his name on the investigation report, he owned the trucking outfit and he's always been Gemma's lap dog.

    Danny Trejo completely rocks.

What is the club going to do with this new sheriff? The look on Tig's face when the sheriff went to work on the table seems to indicate to me the sheriff isn't going to make it too much longer. Maybe an "accident?"

That was my first thought, too. He might make it through the season, but I don't see him making it until the series ends.

The sheriff is this year's Stahl, and will meet the same fate as Stahl. I say this year's season finale.

    Great episode last night.
I wish Piney would catch Clay out somewhere and kill him, but of course without an antagonist you don't have a show.
Unfortunately, my prediction is either Piney or Bobby gets killed by Clay. If it's Piney, Opie goes over the edge with Clay/Tig having killed his wife then father.

My wife claims that Gemma is really the power behind the entire deal, and Clay is going to pay for the choking incident.

I think she a) understands that she's an old lady and will become subservient to Clay on this; or b) she understands that it was a bit of a show with Piney standing there.

    Which of us is closer?

Gemma isn't the power, but does have some input.

I don't belong to an MC but hang out regularly with people of that nature (not "with" but in the same places) and have done enough reading to know old ladies have no say whatsoever. Of course this is a soap opera and not a documentary ... plus Gemma is played by Sutter's wife Katy ... and the show has the whole Shakespeare thing going on, but it would really push the bounds of reality for her to be the power behind the throne.

Remember, Jax even said something in the first episode referring to his mother "she's an old lady, you tell her..." and in the past when Tara has questioned him "you're an old lady, act like it."

I don't think Clay turning on Gemma was an act because Piney was there. I think he snapped because she did it in front of Piney, making him look bad.

So far this new season is kicking butt. Season three was terrible except maybe for the final episode.
Sutter has already made up for that in four shows.

Who is the guy that the new DA met with in prison?

And while we're at it, just who is the woman in the flower shop? She seems to have something Gemma wants ...

She's the new sheriff's wife (we saw her last week at the hospital when Unser and Gemma were there).

As for who the new DA met in prison, I fell asleep while the show was on, so maybe there was another prison scene, but he left the photos with Big Otto (creator Kurt Sutter).

Yes, the guy in prison is Otto - a character Sutter put in to get himself some screen time. He has been in prison since the show premiered. What the photos were about, was he was married to a porn director/ex porn star. She was still in tight with the club while he was inside, but had a thing going with Bobby. In season 2, she was murdered. It was eluded to that it was either the Aryan Brotherhood or a rival porn producer that killed her but never really stated.

Now, the new DA guy is dropping a dime on Bobby banging her and planting seeds that it Bobby killed her.

While in prison, Otto has gotten a lot of inside info for the Club and bumped off several people. There was a big scene last season where he met with one of the Original 9 members of the club - Lennie the Pimp - to get some info. Lennie was played by Sonny Barger, not the founder but the first real power behind the Hells Angels.
