When I read this title, I thought it was songs that make you sneeze. Thanks for the clarification.

There's one that always gets, I can't exactly explain why, but I'm too ashamed to admit it here. Perhaps on my deathbed.

"Fat Bottomed Girls" by Queen? That one can pull on the old heart strings.

Sinatra's version of "Send In The Clowns". "One For My Baby" too.

Steve Miller's "Livin' In The USA". Those race car sound effects at the beginning sound like they could be at a dirt track.

To the actual point of the thread, the only rock/pop song that made me "dusty" was All Things Must Pass by George Harrison. The BBC played it upon announcing that Harrison had passed and it just hit me.

Rest In Peace by Mott The Hoople is quite good too.

can't help but think of the NYFD and PD who died

It was dark, too dark to see, you held me in the light you gave
You lay your hand on me
Then walked into the darkness of your smoky grave
Up the stairs, into the fire
Up the stairs, into the fire
I need your kiss, but love and duty called you someplace higher
Somewhere up the stairs, into the fire

May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love

and I wished for so long...
    I cannot stay
    All the precious moments...
    Cannot stay
It's not like wings have fallen...
    I cannot say
    Without you something is missing...
    I cannot say

Holding hands of daughters and sons
In their phase they're falling down
    Down, down, down

I have wished for so long...
How I wish for you again

Will I walk the long road?
    I cannot stay
There's no need to say goodbye

    Oh, the friends and family...
    All the memories going round
    Round, round round...

I have wished for so long...
How I wished for you today

    And the wind keeps rollin'
And the sky keeps turning grey
    And the sun is set
The sun will rise another day

I have wished for so long...
How I wish for you today

I have wished for so long...
How I wish for you today
Will I walk the long road?
We all walk the long road
