Whiskey you're the devil, you're leading me astray!
Over hills and mountains, into the alley way
You're sweeter, stronger tastier, you're spunkier 'na tea!
Whiskey, you're my darlin', drunk or sober

Said the mother 'Do not wrong me,
'Don't take my daughter from me,
'For if you do I'll torment you
'and after death my ghost will haunt you'
O fare thee well, fare thee tiddly ti dee doo tee ti dee day
tiddly ti dee doo tee ti dee day
What righto a mother-o theere's whiskey in the jar

Whiskey you're the devil, you're leading me astray!
Over hills and mountains, into the alley way
You're sweeter, stronger tastier, you're spunkier 'na tea!
Whiskey, you're my darlin', drunk or sober

Well the kings of men are fightin'
While my own belt it has tightened
And if they have their way I'll be hit any day by bolts of lightning
O fare thee well, fare thee tiddly ti dee doo tee ti dee day
tiddly ti dee doo tee ti dee day
What righto a laddy-o there's whiskey in the jar

Whiskey you're the devil, you're leading me astray!
Over hills and mountains, into the alley way
You're sweeter, stronger tastier, you're spunkier 'na tea!
Whiskey, you're my darlin', drunk or sober

Well, oil and gold are precious
So says the king of Texas
    But never trust the lunatic
Who says he's given up on drinking
O fare thee well, fare thee tiddly ti dee doo tee ti dee day
tiddly ti dee doo tee ti dee day
What righto a tyrant-o there's whiskey in the jar

Whiskey you're the devil, you're leading me astray!
Over hills and mountains, into the alley way
You're sweeter, stronger tastier, you're spunkier 'na tea!
Whiskey, you're my darlin', drunk or sober

    The Clash - Street Parade

A very ambiguous song, yet it cuts very deep.

Dated a girl named Alison. Can't listen to that song anymore ("Alison" by Elvis Costello).

Bummer, because that album is a great listen.

    OutKast: 'Roses'

My ex's name is Caroline, and the start of the second verse has explained exactly how I feel about her (that's the 'She's the reason for the word bitch' part, then goes into crashing into a ditch)
