HC originally posted it on Facebook but it deserves a repost here

Took place at the Seaway Mall in Welland, Ontario (near Niagara Falls)

    That's very cool.

I found an article about it: http://www.wellandtribune.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2852421

I was trying to figure out how many people were involved. Obviously some people join in, but there are clearly a lot of performers. The article answers the question.

I like that this is designed to purely entertain. Most "pop up" art seems designed to shock more than entertain.

And, while not any kind of regular Church goer, it reminds me how uplifting a good Church service with good music can be.

Seemed like they were performing for just a few dozen people.

Well, you could only see the people in the food court but there were likely people outside the court looking in.

Besides, it doesn't matter whether there was a dozen or a thousand. Irrelevant to the performance

I was born in Welland and shopped in that mall many times, thanks for sharing. This is a wonderful performance.

    Oh.

Based on the title, I thought this would be JR's farewell thread.

Why don't you go be a prick on another thread?

To be fair, I think it was designed to both entertain and act as a fundraiser.

But it's quite neat. I would love to stumble on something like that. And the first two singers have gorgeous timbres. The music nerd in me loved it. I might have been tempted to honor choral tradition and stand up.

Never pegged you as a guy to trumpet performances of religious songs.
