Funny how a little caring can heal them so quickly. Great job, slappy.

He loves his crate too, but prefers to lie on a round dog bed in the living room...

Now, if I can just get him to sleep past 7 a.m.....

Make him read an Albom column. That should do the trick.

Seriously, Slap, kudos to you and yours - Dottie, too - for doing a good deed.

He needs to be sleepy, not nauseous...

It's been one week and the improvement is vast.
he still itches, but his belly is better and better.
Scabs are all but gone -- the last holdout are the ears.
He hasn't pooped inside the house in days; peed a couple of times in snits.
He knows to head to the front door after he gets out of his crate so he can go outside. And he doesn't eat from the table, which makes meals easy.
    I'm grateful we have him.

Awesome, slappy. Rub his healing belly for me.

Re: Something good at Walmart UPDATE

Jack just went through his last round of puppy shots this morning and got his rabies tag.
From a 10-pound wormy, mangy, emaciated pup, he's now 25 pounds of nipping, biting, back-talking, pee-on-the-rug-for-spite Beagle and something mix.
Vet was impressed; now if we can get him to stop nipping at Dottie when they play. Her belly is full of bites from him.
But he's happy and healthy -- doesn't blink when Ms. Slappy threatens to take him back to Wal-Mart.
One thing to worry about: He said dogs tend to start losing baby teeth when they reach a third of their body weight. At 25 pounds, this doesn't bode well at all....
I thank you all for your support...

Jack when we first got him in mid-April, maybe 6-8 weeks old. Today, at 3 1/2 months with the same toy as in the left pic.
