She does, after all, have as much Cherokee heritage as the sitting chief -- 1/32nd

This story just keeps getting worse for Elizabeth Warren. It doesn't appear that she's even 1/32 Cherokee, though Harvard claimed she was in federally mandated diversity statistics:

US Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren has said she was unaware that Harvard Law School had been promoting her purported Native American heritage until she read about it in a newspaper several weeks ago.

But for at least six straight years during Warren’s tenure, Harvard University reported in federally mandated diversity statistics that it had a Native American woman in its senior ranks at the law school. According to both Harvard officials and federal guidelines, those statistics are almost always based on the way employees describe themselves.

In addition, both Harvard’s guidelines and federal regulations for the statistics lay out a specific definition of Native American that Warren does not meet.

The documents suggest for the first time that either Warren or a Harvard administrator classified her repeatedly as Native American in papers prepared for the government in a way that apparently did not adhere to federal diversity guidelines. They raise further questions about Warren’s statements that she was unaware Harvard was promoting her as Native American.

She looked terrible on camera the other day when trying to answer questions, and now she's running away from reporters:

Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren, in a sequel to an awkward on-camera encounter this week about her claim to Native American heritage, bolted from a campaign event yesterday, refusing to answer a Herald reporter’s questions about the controversy.

Moments after giving the keynote speech at the Young Democrats of Massachusetts convention, Warren and her handlers hustled out a rear exit of the SEIU 1199 offices in Dorchester. She climbed into the passenger side of an SUV and closed the door as a Herald reporter asked her a question and a photographer rolled video.

“Professor Warren, we’re with the Herald. Can you ... ” a Herald reporter said to Warren as she hopped into the car.

“She’s got to get going. I’m sorry,” a man who ushered Warren out of the building said. “Sorry, we’re running late.”

The man then apologized for earlier closing two stairwell doors on the Herald crew while it was hot on the heels of Warren and her entourage as they hustled out of the building.

“I didn’t know you were behind me,” he said.

Warren’s spokeswoman, Alethea Harney, declined to say where the candidate was headed after the Dorchester event.

Earlier this week, Warren repeatedly dodged on-camera questions about her ancestry from a Fox 25 reporter, responding instead with talking points about her campaign and its emphasis on middle-class families.

It's Memorial Day weekend. The number of Mass voters paying attention to this race right now is zero.
My alma mater has it in for Warren and any pretense its reporting is different from editorial policy has been abandoned. I am sure she will do poorly among the soon-to-be-dead Irish American men who are the Herald's target demo -- too bad so many of them are legal Florida residents now.
