I had a doctor's appointment and watched the whole thing in the lobby. He said he'd be "happy to take questions," took two, I think, and got that look he gets when he's run out of talking points to regurgitate, said "Thank You" and walked away.

    Painful to watch.

    Slightly OT:

    Bad economic data?

Then shut down the website that tracks it.

Because of “budgetary constraints”, no less.

President Stupid and his cohorts missed naptime, eh?

Mark me among those who are glad that the Dems didn't budge on this bill.

Is it the Shrub who threw a tantrum, or the Republicans who walked out of the House?

Wonder if those who didn't have time for a "political fishing expedition" are the same ones who demanded hearings on Monicagate, et. al.?

The Shrub threw a fit. The House Republicans made a scene.

How could anyone be against something called the Protect America Act, dammit?

Don't forget the people who are against the Patriot Act. They weren't very patriotic, were they?
