Solyndra...why is no one talking about this?

Paper-tiger threads based on BS premises tend to head in that direction quickly, yes . . .

I agree with everything you said but Obama campaigned on change and it has been status quo. Whether you are a Obama fan or not, his change rhetoric has rang hollow as this "scandal" demonstrates.

Here's the other thing. The right wing scream-o-sphere will be whining about this endlessly for the next year.

Bill Ayers! Rev. Wright! Birth Certificate! 200,000 people show up to his speeches! HE'S A CELEBRITY!

They keep throwing every little piece of shit thing at the wall, yelling out, "SCANDAL!, SCANDAL!, SCANDAL!".

And you know what? Most Americans won't give a shit because they're worried about stuff that, you know, actually affects them. Like their jobs. And their health care.

And this is something that actually Americans understand a bit about. They're worried about where their taxpayer dollars go. But the screamers don't seem to understand that they're crying wolf with every little stupid accusation. Stop trying to go for the bomb every play, and try to work your way down the field.

But in this case, yeah, it looks bad on the surface to the average American. But at the same time, it's something that every politician does. And the Dems did it to try to preserve 1,000 jobs. The GOP would do it to make the CEO rich.

Solyndra is significant because it's yet another thing that the Obama has thrown a shitload of money at that produced absolutely nothing...

After sleeping on it, I think it is still strange that no one on these boards is talking about this.

Don't be so short-sighted. President Obama did bring change. Fox News changed its stance of always supporting a president and telling us we should respect the office of the president even if we disagreed with his policies.

Republicans changed by abandoning long-held policy positions simply because the president supported them. They never complained previously when a president took a vacation. That changed.

No one ever criticized GW Bush for putting his feet up on the desk in the Oval Office or when he used a telepromter. That changed too once the 44th president took over.

After Obama got a healthcare bill passed, America's gravest threat changed to gov't healthcare.

I never heard any president ever criticized for his use of office supplies. That changed too after Obama became president.

No First-Lady-to-be was ever called a "baby momma" before the election of Barack Obama. That changed.

This is great. Taxpayers screwed out of half a billion bucks and the lefties on here respons with "well, everyone does it!" Fantastic.
