So what were Tressel and his D coordinator doing for 60 days?

    Cast your vote:

    1) Lots of golf.
    2) Knitting sweater vests.
    3) Recruiting the next generation of players who would lay a championship game egg.

Because they sure as heck were not doing anything to acknowledge that the other side was working for 2 months to come up with some exciting schemes to make their offense cook.

    Easy.

Going to watch Youngstown State playoff games.

    It's the truth.

Right now Jon Heacock's defense against Appy State looks a helluva a lot better than this. (And it was pure shite).

Apparently the offensive coordinator was doing the same thing.

58 days to be totally unprepared for the National Championship game...pathetic coaching job by Tressel et al.

How much do you want to bet that Ron Zook made a long distance call and whispered sweat nothings in Urban Meyer's ears?

58 days is way too long of a break. You can't prepare a team for that, you can only over prepare.

It's worse than the first game of the season, because you have twice as long to prepare and wait. Can you imagine college basketball waiting until May to decide its winner? I don't think so. Have all conferences end their regular seasons on the first weekend in December and you shouldn't have this problem.

i agree that the long wait is bullshit, but it's not like florida played last week. both sides had the same situation to deal with, and tressel was the one who shit the bed.

Telling each other how great they were, while executing the Troy Smith/Heisman maypole dance.

It is too long a break, and it's one of the many things that's wrong with the BCS. And it wasn't the same for FLA. They played twice since the last OSU game. But Florida used that time wisely, while Ohio State expected that the same old thing would be enough. That was pure arrogance.
