    That part was cool, in more ways than one. That spot in the exercise are definitely is the place for great San Francisco photos. The rest of the Alcatraz tour? Eh, nothing spectacular.

    Never been on a boat before?
    Then go on the Bay Cruise. It's much nicer. Goes around the Bay and Golden Gate Bridges with a wonderful historical presentation.

    I like Alcatraz. I love the history. I just think it's one of those places that's romanticized a bit more than it deserves.
    That's all.
    I love the Wharf. Pier 39. The Exploritorium. Chinatown. Alcatraz somewhere below on the list.

    While this is fun to joke about, and I'm aware it wasn't legally binding, but I thought Alcatraz is a national park. So really who gives a shit what people from a state want to do with the feds land?

    It's not a National Park. It's some pseudo-National Park.
    It doesn't meet the true definition.

    Yeah and if it were losing money, they'd sell it to the timber companies if there were a bush on the island.
