    Modern sports journalism management:
    1. Give big platform to inexperienced columnist with a history of writing things she has later come to regret.
    2. Encourage columnist to shoot mouth off, the louder the better.
    3. Provide NO editing.
    4. When columnist goes over line, enact stern discipline and cover ass.
    5. Have lunch, consider "edgy" ideas for Page 2.

I hope ESPN is doing this just so they don't face a firestorm of criticism. I don't know if this warrants being fired over or anything.

"to reflect on the impact of her words"

You think about what you said, young lady! And you're not getting any dessert, either!

According to the league's coaches, East Podunk is going to run through the Quad-Region Conference like Hitler through a Polish bar mitzvah.

Don't worry, andyouare? -- I caught this one for you before we went to press.

If you're going to do that, andy, stick with the Maginot Line. People feel sorry for the Poles, but no one likes the friggin' French.

Ace, I think the point is that Hill has been very critical of others for offensive or insensitive remarks, yet in this case she is the one making the insensitive comment.

It was not an insensitive comment. It was a stupid comment. You think Celtics fans are hurt and embarrassed because she doesn't root for them?

  12. The Jewish Celtic fans are pissed.
