Thanks buddy! My bowl season doesn't start until Dec. 27th. The ESPN made-for-tv bowls don't do it for me.

    For starters....
    - paper trail for Bonds vs. none for Clemens
    - Clemens never lied to a grand jury about whether or not he used
    - Clemens never acted in a way to draw the public hatred that Bonds did

You don't know what paper trail there is for Clemens vs. Bonds. Could be just as much once someone starts looking. As for the grand jury, Bonds didn't allegedly lie to a grand jury until after everyone starting looking for things against him.

And the "But we like Rogah!" defense would be sad indeed.

Clemens is no better than Bonds. He is an asshole. He doesn't have to do anything else.

Bonds = Steroids, treats fans like shit
Clemens = Steroids, treats opposing players like shit

In my father's most hallowed words, "There's nothing worse than a squealer."

First, if you are in that situation, you have to stay out of jail.

Second, you have to try to make a living.

    Volunteering information will not help.

Jose Guillen signed a new contract the same week he was suspended for HGH. No one cares.

NEW YORK -- The players' association filed a grievance Monday to overturn the 15-day suspension given to Royals outfielder Jose Guillen for violating baseball's drug program.

Guillen and Baltimore's Jay Gibbons were suspended last Thursday by commissioner Bud Selig following media reports that they received human growth hormone after January 2005, when it was banned by baseball. Gibbons chose not to contest his penalty.

Arbitrator Shyam Das will decide whether Selig's suspension of Guillen was proper. The penalty is to be served at the start of next season.

"It's been agreed that the matter needs to be resolved prior to opening day," said Michael Weiner, the union's general counsel.

Guillen has not been charged by the government with a crime, and he is not known to have failed a drug test.

His could be the first of several grievances that will go before Das and could become a precedent for players disciplined for performance-enhancing drugs absent a positive test or a conviction for possession.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported last month that Guillen bought nearly $20,000 worth of steroids and human growth hormone from 2003-05. Major League Baseball began testing for steroids in 2003, and penalties for first offenses in cases involving performance-enhancing drugs began in 2005.

On the day he was suspended, Guillen finalized a three-year, $36 million contract with the Royals. The 31-year-old batted .290 with 23 homers, 99 RBIs and 28 doubles for the Seattle Mariners this season.

Dude, it was the Mets. Throwing a broken bat at Piazza (BTW, where the hell was HIS name in all this?) was just as likely to endear him to fans as it was to alienate them.
