She did say that would never happen. So I take some comfort.

Some.

She is a fantastic kid, works hard, is a good student, and has never really given us any trouble.

So, I guess, if this is what she wanted, it's not the worst thing...I guess

Plus, now Ithink she can join a gang ;D

 

The reason I would never get a tattoo is the same reason I don't put a bumper sticker on my car. I just can't think of something, a little picture, that I would feel comfortable being representative of my entire being.

If there's a cool piece of art or if I want to honor somebody, I do the same thing: frame and hang a picture.

Dirk, my daughter is also 19 and has made noises a few times about getting a tattoo. About all I say is "I wish you wouldn't," but I know she's an adult and there's only so much I can do. If she does choose to get one, I hope she's at least as thoughtful about it as your daughter.

Good news, my daughter hates cats, so the cat butt thing is probably off the table.

 

If you can read upside down, she might take you to heaven in more ways than one.
