Any chance this is gonna be the straw that breaks the camels back? I really hope this doesn't drive her to drink.

She will be in the Grammys after all, via satellite.
Strap on your helmets - here comes a trainwreck for the ages.

Saw her perform at the MTV Europe Awards and it was excruciating. She was clearly intoxicated and I couldn't understand a word.
    Pretty pathetic and unfortunate.

They'd have probably let her in if she wore a turban.

But ... her publicist has released this statement:

"Unfortunately, due to the logistics involved and timing complications, Amy will not be traveling to the U.S. to perform at the Grammys in person.

Amy would like to thank all of those people, in particular the staff involved at the U.S. Embassy in London, who have all worked so hard to expedite her application. She is looking forward to being a part of the 50th Annual Grammy Awards with her Sunday night performance and to going back to the U.S. soon."

I was listening to Friday podcast of Tony K.'s show and he didn't know who Amy Winehouse was. They played a clip of "Rehab" for him, and he says the following:

"Excuse my politically incorrectness, but this is white girl from England?" The studio burst out laughing at him.

Probably a bunch of snots who never heard of Etta James.

    But that is indeed funny.

Not exactly. Kornhiesier plays old music on his show everyday and he knows Etta James. He didn't know who the hell Winehouse was until his cohorts told him about her and all of the troubles that prevented her from getting a visa until Friday.

Now, how is she going to do a live performance for the Grammys when she's stuck at home?
