Driving the two plus hours to my mother's house this afternoon.
Raining here, winter storm warning there with 4 to 8 inches of snow predicted for tonight.
    Fantastic.

Interstate 44 has been shut down from Oklahoma City to the Red River here in Oklahoma, which is a ridiculously long way. I'm stuck here in the newsroom for now, hope that 4X4 truck comes soon and all passengers will be safe.

They've cancelled all the Christmas Eve services here in central Oklahoma.

If the weather is too bad for God to get to work, what am I doing at my desk?

Outing alert: 2muchcoffeeman is the guy writing the headlines for your local 11 o'clock news.

Seriously, I already have a foot of snow so the rest of you stay safe and enjoy a white Christmas.

I'm just glad the weather guys here in OKC have decided to knock off for a bit. It's not like tornado season, when we actually need the updates. This is crazy.

Right now we've had a paltry two inches of snow, and that was from this morning.

But Mr. Rosie stocked up on beer - just in case.

Smart man. Of course, that's why you married him, right? ;D

I had to abort my trip about 3 p.m. yesterday when it really started getting bad. If I could've gotten an earlier start I might've been able to beat the storm, but I couldn't get off work.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

The snow did pick up after we went to bed last night, but it's still not all that much in my neck of the woods.

    I feel cheated.

It's still falling - we have no plans of traveling till tomorrow, so we'll see what happens.
