Eddie never really lost his fastball, just look at his performance in Life. He just chose a bunch of bad projects, most likely for the paycheck.

I think the last 2 movies I saw him in were Coming To America and Boomerang.

Nutty Professor was low-key the best acting of his career. Just go round the dinner table.

Nice example. "Life" was a damn good move for Eddie and Martin Lawrence. Still remember the scene when they were older and had to stand on soda bottles as punishment. Martin legitimately slipped and got his toe stuck in the bottle, Eddie cracked momentarily, but they kept on going with it.

Seeing a Cosby spokesperson criticize Murphy for his remarks is pretty funny. I almost wonder if Cosby would have gotten away with it all if he didn't alienate a lot of people by becoming the moral arbiter for comedy, language and how to dress in the black community. Suddenly, Hannibal Burress is bringing up the "rumors."
I'm sure he would have eventually been swallowed up by the MeToo era - but it says a lot about the guy who raped women that he felt secure enough to criticize other comedians for bad language and the need to be a good role model.
How Murphy landed the Bill Cosby role in the I Spy movie is beyond me.

The thing is, when you think of Murphy's stand-up, it really is a cross between Pryor and Cosby.

I don't have high expectations for JJ, but RuPaul could be fun.

People wouldn't get it, but having Watt fall coming down the stairs in the open and being "out" for the monologue, would be funny.

Adam Driver has quickly become one of the better hosts out there. Very strong show start to finish.
