SMU is in Dallas, right?

Dallas is the No. 1 front-running town in the nation. If the Ponies aren't winning, then no amount of coverage will get Dallasites to care.

That said, a brief would have been nice.

All these would be ahead of SMU, I'd bet, on the list of DMN priorities (not in this order): Cowboys, Mavericks, Rangers, Stars, TU, A&M, OU, TCU, Olympics (lots of Texans in the Summer Games), high school football. At most I would've expected a brief.

Highland Park High certainly gets more ink than SMU does.

You should learn the proper style. It's t.u.

  5. Very true. But they win more games.

Ever since I heard that Dallas was the No. 1 front-running town in the nation, it's my favorite city.

I wasn't thinking about from a coverage standpoint, but from a standpoint of investigating SMU and getting them the death penalty.

Gotcha, you're absolutely right about that.

Dale Hansen had more to do with bringing down SMU than the DMN did.

Hansen still gets a lot more credit for that than he deserves. I won't bore you with the details, but take my word for it. Also, Hansen's station WFAA and DMN were both owned by Belo and I'm sure it was a group effort.

Oh, I wouldn't mind being bored with the details.
