Right after 9-11, didn't some guy commit suicide by flying his plane into a building in Tampa?

If I crashed a car into a crowd full of people, it wouldn't automatically be considered terrorism. The fact that a crime was committed using the same method used in a previous terrorist attack doesn't automatically make that crime a terrorist act, even if it is aimed at a government agency.

The guy who killed four cops in Washington state wasn't a terrorist; he was just a scumbag.

I don't think this is part of an international terrorist plot but unless the Feds already know who the pilot is and have done a background check on him they can't make that statement.

Yes. If I remember, it was a young kid who stole a plane.

    Expressed sympathies with AQ.

That information's not exactly difficult to come by. Call the airport, find out who took that plane out, plug the name into the computer.

Then they need to release the name.

    No they don't.

Maybe they're gonna inform his family first. Maybe it really IS an accident.

As long as the have a tail number, it's easy. But if the NTSB knows that he set the house on fire, then they know who it is already.

MSNBC apparently said his wife was rescued from the burning house. Austin station said it was a domestic situation, guy torched his house, got the plane, flew it into building.
