I need my land line -- doubles as a fax line.

In college, i used to enjoy toying with them. Had some porn-movie audio tracks on cassette and left the player by the phone. Whenever one would call, I would say that I was in the middle of something and would they mind holding while I finished up. Put the phone down, hit play and left the room. Don't know how long they listened.

No. I'd get pictures of pop-tarts in compromising positions and Ms. Slappy wouldn't like that at all...

So this morning, my phone rings. I pick it up, and I hear a tape recorded message.

"Please hold on the line for a representative from (some crappy bank) to discuss your financial future."

    Click.

Enough of my time is wasted dealing with telemarketers. They now want ME TO HOLD on the line for them for their sales pitches?

You sure it was a sales and not collection call?
