so, i've always been curious. why do people with no connection to our business come to this site?

seriously, i don't go to insurance salesmen boards and tell them what they should do in their job, why do people with no connection to our industry (other than they wish they could do it) come here?

 

Because they basically are jock-sniffing fanbois who want to feel a little closer to people who actually deal with or have dealt with their heroes.


Or they're just stupid.

 

I'd guess that some just want to talk sports. I think there are others that just want to bitch about the industry and reporters and how we do our jobs.

 

Some of us are formerly connected to the business, like me, although I still get my hands dirty doing gamers every high school football season.

I assume some of them just stumble here when looking for stuff about their teams.

 

Many swing by in the belief they can bust some Democratic balls.

Some of that group quickly depart, in abject frustration.
