On a serious note, Frasier is a great show to watch. A good ensemble comedy from two decades before is the Mary Tyler Moore show.

If you have kids, the Cosby Show is a good thing to watch with the family. Other than the (lack of) 80s fashions on display from the kids, the plotlines date pretty well.

    The Simpsons.

It won't last you long, but you can get the whole series of The Critic in one package -- Jon Lovitz's short-lived show that ran on both ABC & Fox for a half-season each. The movie spoofs are classic.

    MST3K reruns are great, too.

You can always buy Felicity, to have several seasons of Keri Russell giving many different serious gazes off into space with her perfectly-coiffed hair falling around her. (seriously, don't buy this. And how did it last several seasons, other than the perv crowd?).

Dude, it was a great show. Two guys have to track down dumbasses who won the lottery but lost their tickets. Hilarity ensues.

    That said ...

The Desi-Lucy Comedy Hour (or I Love Lucy seasons 7-9) is good stuff.

    Silver Spoons.

Mad Men on AMC is probably worth your time as well. First season just came out on DVD.

    How could I forget: Daria.

In the same vein, Beavis & Butthead.

Ren & Stimpy (but only the seasons Krisfalusi (sp?) did them).

  7. Burn Notice is fantastic. Bruce Campbell is great in his role. Following in the USA shows, In Plain Sight is not bad -- new twist for a cop show.

Since you like The Office, check out the original BBC version if you haven't yet. Other great British comedies: Spaced - Season 1 & 2 just released on DVD and The Mighty Boosh - frackin' hilarious, but possibly harder to find.
