Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Boom_70, Jan 21, 2008.

?

Who do you want on Democratic ticket for Prez?

  1. Obama

    71.4%
  2. Hillary

    0 vote(s)
    0.0%
  3. Edwards

    28.6%
  1. At this point, none of these people is running to be anyone's Veep.
Too much investment. Edwards in 2004 was an anomaly.

He'll sue if you don't include him, Boomsie...

OK, and I would say that the main reason he is is because some are voting for him because he is black. I'm not speaking against that, but voting solely on that basis, or because he is against the war - just what does that do for economics? Again, and I'm not the only one that has said that, nobody on either side has come close to recognizing the problems America faces and the hypocrisy of government except for Edwards and Huckabee (the latter as related to health care). No one has come across with a pointed and painful, yet honest, assessment of where we are and what must be done.

And that, Yawn, is the major problem with the country and the system.

Have you ever noticed on these internet "pick your candidate" games that none of the questions are aimed at economics outside of keeping the 2001 tax cuts? That is by design. No one is accountable.

If you find one that does, let me know.

Economics is our most pressing issue - but to canidates the 3rd rail.

When its time to vote my vote will go to whoever articulates best economic plan.

Now that person does not exist sans Romney. Bloomberg looms

I honestly don't remember...does the 3rd party candidate usually wait to enter until the Dems and Reps name their nominee?

If your Bloomberg - you wait until the nominees are settled and the parties have ended and the buyer's remorse sets in and the news people are looking for something new to write about until the conventions. So I'm thinking April.

I believe it was Boomer who said that if Obama's the guy, Bloomberg won't run. If it's Hillary, he will.

  11. Yes, what we need is a billionnaire with time on his hands.

The current speculation is that Bloomberg is going to wait and see.

    If it's Huckabee-Clinton or McCain-Clinton, he's probably in.
