Yeah, I am down with the shorts and tucked-in button down (sleeves rolled up). A blazer? Nah, too much.

So long as you don't have a nose ring, I don't see what the problem is.

Good thing they missed me. For the record, I voted "hate it," but I'm not opposed to a jacket and shorts. For some occasions -- mainly the punk shows -- they're A-OK. I'm all right with bucking the fashion trend. I've got a blazer, just to be worn with cargos. I've never worn it with shorts, though I can definitely see it in my future. Especially now.

Carlton Banks has never really left the public conscious, has he?

Carlton was up on his fashion game for the most part. He just dressed ultra-conservatively. There's no way Hillary would have let him out of the house looking like that.

Who was the person (singular) who voted yes?

If you look at the slide show, there's a couple outfits that are OK.

The shorts themselves are OK but some a little on the short side. But in any case they're a change from the dreary cargo shorts.

Would this pass muster at the LA Daily News? [blatantcrossthread]

Don't know who the inital one was, but I'm the second.

I would say this can be done, but as with anything this stylistically daring, it has to be executed perfectly to pull it off. I'd probably go with Navy or Brown shorts, a little (say 2-3 inches) above the knee.
