How accurate do you find personal opinions on here about others? Are people chiming in about people they've met or worked with?

Most rips jobs are people bitter about someone getting a job they wanted. That's my experience.

I should probably say many rather than most.

If you base your personal opinions on other people ... based on people-you-don't-know's opinion of them ... well, that's your perogative.

I'll accept my friends' opinions (including friends here on SJ) of other people based on their word, but those are friends I know and whose opinions I respect. Or I'll go on my own personal experiences with them.

But I'd hope most would keep an open mind on people they don't know, on SJ and outside of here (What? There's life outside SJ? Nooooo ...) Sadly, that's not always the case.
